When I was a kid, I needed someone who really got my educational hurdles — and always wanted to be that for others. My chronic illnesses made my time at school more difficult than most other students. Now, as a tutor and mentor who has worked with students at all points in their educational quest from elementary school to undergrad, I’ve been given that opportunity.
We’ll work together to find solutions to make learning engaging as well as accessible, formulating strategies that address your specific needs and goals. The challenges that come with life with a chronic condition can’t always be addressed by the usual advice — let’s find paths to make your academic and personal journey a great one!

I’ve spent 8 years as a counselor at Camp Wonder, a summer camp for kids with chronic and life-threatening skin diseases, using my own lived experience to be a positive role model, friend, confidant and teacher. I’ve learned how to guide and counsel kids struggling with complex life circumstances, how to keep a cool head in very stressful situations, and how to work with a multi-faceted team to build an environment where the campers can learn and grow outside of their comfort zones.
In college I was involved in peer tutoring, shaping essays, papers and presentations into A-worthy creations and helping colleagues wrap their heads around complex topics in rhetoric and other humanities subjects.
I have an affinity for the students who are struggling, especially because of their medical situations, and the experience necessary to help them form strategies and solutions specialized for their unique constellation of difficulties.
